HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences)

The Humanities learning area uses a modified Australian Curriculum to develop programs that meet the educational needs of our students, in ways that acknowledge their abilities and needs; and ensure that learning experiences, provide real and relevant learning for our students. Students are provided with the opportunity to learn about their place in their world (My Personal World), the indigenous culture/dreaming and creation, and how communities have changed and remained the same over time. 

The HASS curriculum at Salisbury High School provides a rich opportunity to develop students’ ability to make connections between themselves and past and present so as to allow them understand the world in which they live today.
