Special Education Science at Salisbury High School is recognised for it's innovative, hands on and interactive style.

Students are exposed to mainstream scientific content, with a modified curriculum best suited to their literacy and numeracy capabilities.

Aligned with the Australian Curriculum, teaching content is designed to develop Science Understanding, Science as a Human Endeavour, and Science Enquiry Skills. Topics include Atoms and Molecules, Earth Science and Cells and Tissues.

Students have the opportunity to participate in practical classes, perform research projects and write scientific reports, they learn in a safe and modern environment, where they can access equipment such as microscopes, investigate chemical reactions and microbiology.

Through learning science at Salisbury High, students gain skills and knowledge that relate to real world situations.
